Minnesota Fall Lake and River Front Engagement Session
Although this blog post is title "fall engagement session" it definitely felt more like a summer night. Minnesota has been having a very hot fall this year. This was part two to Hannah and Brandons engagement pictures. It down poured the week before and we embraced the rain, but also wanted some nice golden hour, and blue hour sunset pictures.
We started at Carver Lake Park and Beach. I had never been there before and just found it on google maps the night before this session but it looked like they had a nice walkable beach which is something we were looking for. This park is hands down one of my favorite places to shoot at now. It's really diverse with woods, a beach, long docks, and a nice open park with trees. It's really small as well so you don't have to do a bunch of walking during a session to get different locations.
After the park we quick drove over to Mississippi Pub in Inver Grove Heights to get some pictures at the Marina (Hannah has an in with the boat owners). Maybe this is a hot take but I think blue hour is better than golden hour. We shot for about 15 minutes here before wrapping up. See images from this session below.
