September 24th 2022,

I was crazy excited when I was asked to be a part of Katie and Luke's big day as the photographer! I've known Luke literally since I was born... we're cousins. I didn't meet Katie until she and Luke began dating. I remember my first impressions of Katie being that she was truly one of the kindest people I had ever met, and I was insanely jealous of her perfectly curly hair.

The wedding took place on the last weekend of September and the weather couldn't have been any better. It was a very warm day for fall in the midwest, and the sun peaked out at all the right times. The day started with Katie and all her bridesmaids getting ready together. Katie shared an emotional first look with her father, and a moment of prayer with her bridesmaids before the ceremony.



The ceremony was held in the backyard of Luke's parents house, and was truly perfect! The bridal party consistent of some pretty adorable flower girls, and a couple dogs too. Once the ceremony had concluded, chairs and tables were moved to make room for the dance floor for the reception. After lots and lots of dancing, the night ended with a fun sparkler exit.
